National Tax website offers On-Line tax courses that satisfy the Federal 15 Hour CE specification and California's 60 hour Qualifying and 20 hour CE requirements. Our courses provide you the opportunity to fulfill the currently voluntary Federal specification and, if you prepare taxes in California, the California education requirement as well.
All of our courses are in an interactive distance learning format, allowing you to study and take the test at times are convenient for you.
Our 15 Hour Federal CE course includes 10 hours of Federal Tax content, 3 hours of Tax Law Updates, and 2 hours of Ethics.
The 20 Hour Continuing Education courses cover 10 hours of Federal Tax Law, 2 hours of Ethics, 3 hours of Federal Tax Law Updates and 5 hours of California tax law. It is designed to keep you up to date with the latest tax law while ensuring your ability to offer and prepare taxes in the state of California. Our 60 Hour Qualifying Education course covers 45 hours of Federal and 15 hours of California tax law and is designed to teach you the tax law necessary to become a certified tax professional in California.
Because these are distance learning courses, you can complete the work on a schedule that best fits 'your' needs. There is no set time frame to complete the test and you can study or take the test from any computer with an internet connection. Once you have completed and passed the exam, a certificate of completion will be sent to you (mailed or emailed) and your information will be forwarded to either the IRS or CTEC, California Tax Education Council, for registration. To complete the registration process, you must contact CTEC and pay any registration fees that apply to your type of license.
